Kayvon Khatami

President

A member of the Almaden community since 2006 and proud parent of a Leland grad (son -:class of ’22) and rising senior (daughter – class of ’24). I joined the Booster Club in 2018 and have had the pleasure of serving as the President since 2019. The mission of the Booster Club, to provide financial resources for the under-funded athletic programs at Leland High School, was the main reason I became involved. And over the last few years, working with the other dedicated volunteers of the Booster Club, we have been able to provide funding for a professional athletic trainer, a strength & conditioning coach, safety equipment for several teams, upgrades to facilities, and granted over $20,000 in scholarships to amazing student-athletes. The Leland Booster Club Board and I look forward to continuing our efforts to support the Charger student-athletes and foster the championship culture at Leland High School.

 

Mike Beyersdoerfer

Secretary

Leland Dad of two daughters with one currently a Leland athlete and another who graduated from Leland in 2021.  Been the Secretary of the Boosters Board for 3 years as well as helping coordinate the annual Boosters Bash.  It has been awesome meeting amazing parents and incredible student athletes through the Boosters Club.  Growing up as an athlete through high school and college, I am very aware of the impact a Boosters Club can make in athletic programs.  For this reason, I truly feel it is an honor to help Leland students through their athletic journey.    

Jen Ereno

Treasurer

I am a proud Leland mom of a graduating cheerleader and of a son, who recently graduated, that played football all four years.  I have an accounting degree from SJSU but chose to go back to school to get my teaching credential. I teach Kindergarten in San Jose Unified and love every minute of it!  I enjoy being a part of the Leland Booster Club Board and assisting in keeping their financial records. Come be a part of our board, they are a great group of people to volunteer with. 

 
 
 

Britt Cain

Social Media Manager

I am a proud Leland mom with a daughter who is a two sport Leland athlete and a son who is a recent graduate and was a three-sport athlete at Leland.   I served on the Bret Harte Booster Club board for several years and have enjoyed volunteering with various Leland sports.  My husband Mike can also be found at Leland coaching field hockey, keeping score at basketball games and even occasionally doing the announcing.   I’m excited to now be part of the Leland Booster Club Board and I enjoy getting athletic news out to the Leland community through social media.

 
 

Erin Poole

Events Chair

I am a California native and moved to the Bay Area in 2006. In 2011, my husband and I settled in Almaden with our two children. Our daughter graduated from Leland in 2021 and we have a son who is currently a charger, graduating in 2024. I have served as a volunteer at Simonds, Castillero, Bret Harte and Leland for the past 11 years. I have a BA and MA in Child Development so volunteering in the classroom, chairing large school fundraisers and sitting on the booster board is a great fit for me. I am excited to be a part of the Leland community and look forward to bringing more awareness to our organization.

 

Grishma Methaila

I am a proud Leland mom of my freshman daughter, who was a part of the cross-country team this fall.  This is my first year with Leland Booster Club and I greatly enjoy the club’s fundraising activities.  Consequently, I’m excited to be part of the Booster Club board and support our school in all the ways I can. In my free time, I enjoy badminton, playing UNO with my 3 kids, and coding, as I am a software professional. Go chargers!

Alok Daipuria

WEBMASTER AND TECHNOLOGY ADVISOR

I am a tech geek with 30 years in the Software industry. I was part of initial team of volunteer teachers and  taught the founding class of Intro to CS at Leland in 2014. I have also tutored AP CS to many high school students, who got admitted to CS programs at top US colleges. I currently work as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning expert, and help customers with adoption of AI/ML technologies.

I am excited to be Technology Advisor for the Leland Booster club and mentor students working on apps including website, inventory management and fund raising apps.
